4 Party Tent Features Ideal for Winter Events

Dec 21, 2020

When hosting a winter event or party, you may feel limited to indoor celebrations, but you don't have to be. A party tent rental has a number of options to accommodate winter events and provide a viable space where everyone in attendance is comfortable. Check out some of the party tent features directly associated with events held in winter.

1. Heaters

One of the main concerns when hosting a winter event is providing proper heat for guests. When you rent a party tent, you can add heaters to your rental. The heat will fill multiple zones of the tent to give off warmth across the whole tent area. When you add heat to your party tent, the rental company will set up everything needed for proper heat.

The heaters are placed in positions so they do not interfere with party areas but will provide warmth. Proper ventilation and power connections are also handled by the rental company. You should start the heat a little bit before the event so the tent is already warmed up by the time guests arrive.

2. Tent Walls

One way to help keep heat inside a party tent is by renting a tent with walls included. The walls connect to the ceiling and make the rental feel like a separate venue rather than just an overhang on an outdoor space. The walls may have window panels to let some natural light inside the tent.

The tent walls will not only allow heat to run more efficiently but will help block out cold winter winds. You will have one or two main entry points so the cold air is not let in at just any location within the tent. You can choose to have a heater placed near an entrance to help blast incoming cold air away and prevent major temperature changes.

3. Generators

Power access is an essential part of a winter party. If your party tent location is far away from electrical outlets, then you can add a generator to the rental package. One of the essential roles of a generator is providing lighting at an event. During the winter, the days are much shorter and you may not get a lot of natural light.

The lighting may include large utility lights, elegant string lights, or lights used for a dance floor. You have a lot of options and can choose a lighting style to match your party needs.

Along with lighting, a generator helps provide power to other equipment like speakers, stereos, and music players. A generator can also supply power to extra heating elements as needed. A party rental company will determine your power needs and select the best generator options.

4. Dance Floors

The winter ground is typically hard, frozen, and not comfortable to walk on. The cold feeling of a frozen ground can also impact the climate control and make the area feel colder. You can cover up a majority of the ground with a dance floor rental. A dance floor provides a smooth and comfortable walking area that can extend to a majority of the tent.

You do not need to use a dance floor area just for dancing. You can provide guests with a smooth surface ideal for serving food and socializing. The dance floor will help keep the room warmer by blocking out the cold ground and transforming the space into an area that feels like the indoors.
